Nestled in Renwick, at the heart of Marlborough’s renowned wine-growing region, this property enjoys long sunny days and uninterrupted views across rolling vineyards. The homeowners wanted an outdoor space that would fully embrace these natural advantages while offering a refined, resort-style feel.
A 12.5m Bermuda pool was chosen to anchor the design—combining clean lines, ample length for swimming, excellent thermal performance, and long-term durability. The Pool
This project began with careful planning to ensure the pool integrated seamlessly with the property’s layout. The north-facing site provided the perfect location, maximising sun exposure throughout the day and creating a warm, inviting swimming environment.
Clark’s Drainage & Developments played a key role in the early stages, managing excavation, ground preparation, and drainage—essential work given the undulating terrain typical of vineyard properties.
Key Challenges
Access to the site presented an additional challenge, with a narrow and winding driveway limiting equipment options. To overcome this, a Franna crane was used to transport the pool into position. Its compact design and advanced steering capabilities allowed it to navigate confined spaces that larger cranes could not.
Once the site was fully prepared, the 12.5m Bermuda pool was carefully craned into place and installed to align perfectly with the home’s outdoor entertaining area, creating a cohesive and visually striking result.

The newly completed pool serves as a striking focal point of the home.
